about the project

about the project

Rolling Loud India marked a defining moment for Indian hip-hop, and DIVINE's set stood at the centre of it. Built around the live debut of music from Walking on Water, the performance balanced a new chapter with the catalogue that shaped a generation, alongside appearances from Riar Saab, MC Altaf, and Sambata.

We built visuals that could move between those two worlds: intimate enough to introduce new music, expansive enough for one of the festival's defining performances.

KR$NAโ€™s live catalogue spans an extraordinary range, from dense, introspective lyricism to high-pressure crowd moments that hit like a wall of sound. No single visual language could carry the whole set.

We built a multi-world visual system where each track got its own distinct environment, and every switch was precisely timecoded to land exactly when the music demanded it. The result: a show that felt as layered and intentional as the music itself.

DIVINE is one of the founding voices of Indian hip-hop, the Mumbai rapper who brought gully rap to the mainstream and whose life inspired the Bollywood film Gully Boy. From "Mere Gully Mein" to becoming the first Indian rapper featured on a Spotify Times Square billboard, he has spent over a decade building one of the country's most influential voices in hip-hop.

KR$NA is one of Indiaโ€™s most respected lyricists, a Delhi rapper who has been building the countryโ€™s hip-hop scene since the early 2010s. Known for his poetic depth, technical precision, and relentlessly versatile catalogue, he commands a fanbase that stretches well beyond the underground.
